Responsibilities: Independent Engineering Judgment: Demonstrating exceptional engineering judgment and decision-making skills to drive the success of projects and initiatives.Task Versatility: Working across a diverse range of tasks, including shock qualification, collation of information, and gathering evidence to support complex mechanical designs.Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions seamlessly into our product development process.Innovative Problem-Solving: Identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles and optimize mechanical performance.Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices within the organization. Experience needed: Bachelor #39;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong proficiency in independent engineering judgment and decision-making. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams. Ability to perform shock/vibration analysis and hand calculations to support Engineering Lead and the ability to gather and analyse data to support complex mechanical designs. Desirable: Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous. Experience of complex mechanical engineering design, for example rotating machinery, engine or transmission components. Experience of using CAD design software, drafting, and tolerancing.
